Google API Services Disclosure

The JobOne application connects to Google Calendar and Google Business Profile. This page states exactly what that means, in the specific terms Google’s User Data Policy requires.

1. Summary

The JobOne application at app.getjobone.com can connect to a Google account so that appointments booked in JobOne appear on the business owner’s real calendar, and so that their Google Business Profile stays consistent with the rest of their business information.

Connecting Google is optional and is initiated by the JobOne customer from inside the application. This marketing website does not request access to any Google account.

Access is requested only when a customer clicks to connect, using Google’s standard OAuth consent screen, which shows exactly what is being requested before anything is granted.

2. What we request and why

We request the narrowest set of permissions that makes the feature work. If a scope below stops being necessary, we remove it.

Your name, email address, and profile picture

Why we need it: To identify which Google account is connected and show you which account a connection belongs to.

What we do with it: We store your Google account email address against your JobOne user record so the connection can be displayed and revoked. We do not use it for marketing.

View and edit events on your Google Calendars

Why we need it: Two-way calendar sync is the core of the booking feature. Without the ability to read your existing events, our AI receptionist would book jobs on top of appointments you already have; without the ability to write, jobs booked in JobOne would not appear on the calendar you actually check.

What we do with it: We read event start and end times, titles, and busy/free status from the calendars you select in order to calculate real availability, and we create, update, and delete only the events that represent JobOne jobs. We do not read event attachments, and we do not use calendar content for advertising, profiling, or training machine learning models.

Manage your Google Business Profile listings

Why we need it: The platform keeps your business name, address, phone number, hours, and services consistent between your website, your invoices, and your Google listing, and surfaces new reviews so you can respond to them.

What we do with it: We read your listing details and reviews, and we write updates to the listing fields you have asked us to manage. We never post reviews, and we never modify a listing field you have not asked us to manage.

3. Limited Use commitment

JobOne’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Stated as specific commitments:

  • We use Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the JobOne interface — calendar-aware booking and Google Business Profile management. It is not used for anything else.
  • We do not transfer Google user data except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition, where the data continues to be handled under a policy at least as protective as this one.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising, including personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising. We run no advertising products.
  • We do not sell Google user data, and we sell no user data of any kind.
  • We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have the user’s explicit consent to resolve a specific problem they reported, it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, it is required by applicable law, or the data has been aggregated and de-identified.

4. How we store and protect it

  • OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted at rest and are never exposed to a browser or logged.
  • All communication with Google APIs uses TLS.
  • We store the minimum needed to make the feature work: event times and busy/free status for availability, the identifiers of events JobOne itself created, and the business listing fields the customer asked us to manage.
  • Each customer’s data is isolated at the database level. One customer’s connection can never be reached from another customer’s account.
  • Access to production systems is restricted, logged, and attributed to a named person.

5. Who else sees it

Google user data is not shared with any third party for that third party’s own purposes. It is processed by the infrastructure providers that run JobOne — our hosting and database providers — and by nobody else. Those providers are listed on our subprocessors page and are contractually restricted to processing it on our instructions.

Google Calendar data is not sent to our voice or language model providers. The AI receptionist is told whether a time slot is free or busy; it is not given the contents of the calendar.

6. AI and model training

Google user data is never used to develop, improve, or train generalized or general purpose AI or machine learning models. This applies to our own models and to any third-party model provider we use.

7. Revoking access and deletion

You can disconnect Google at any time, by either route:

Either way:

  • Synchronization stops immediately.
  • Stored access and refresh tokens are deleted immediately.
  • Cached calendar availability data is deleted within 30 days.
  • Events JobOne previously created on your Google Calendar stay on your calendar — they are yours, and removing them without asking would be worse than leaving them.
  • Jobs already recorded in JobOne remain, because they are your business records. They stop syncing.

To request deletion of any remaining Google-derived data, email [email protected]. We action these within 30 days.
