Who it’s for

Small home-service businesses where the owner still answers the phone.

One to fifteen people. Usually one owner, one truck, and a phone that rings at the worst possible moment. That’s who we built this for, and it shows in every decision.

Five trades, three shapes of work

A weekly clean and a three-week repaint are not the same job.

Most software picks one shape and forces the rest into it. We modeled all three — recurring, reactive, and project — because our first customers do all three.

Cleaning companies

Recurring work

What hurts

Standing weekly and biweekly clients, constant one-off skips and reschedules, and a phone that rings while you’re inside somebody’s house with a vacuum running.

What JobOne does

Recurring series that generate real, editable jobs — so a skipped week is a skipped week, not a broken schedule. The AI handles reschedules and new-client calls while you work.

Handymen

Reactive one-off work

What hurts

The whole business is inbound calls for small jobs. Every one you miss is one you never hear about again, and the margin is too thin to hire someone to answer the phone.

What JobOne does

The AI qualifies the caller, checks the job is something you actually do and somewhere you actually go, and books it. You show up already knowing what’s wrong.

Plumbers

Reactive, often urgent

What hurts

Emergency calls at every hour, and the caller with water on the floor will absolutely call the next plumber if you don’t answer in ninety seconds.

What JobOne does

Answered on ring five, day or night, with the urgency triaged. Genuine emergencies get warm-transferred to your cell; everything else gets booked for the morning.

Painters

Multi-day projects

What hurts

Deposits, change orders, and progress billing tracked in a notebook and a text thread, then argued about at the end of the job.

What JobOne does

Full project billing: deposit up front, change orders written down when they happen, progress invoices as the work lands. Everything the homeowner agreed to, in writing, with a timestamp.

Carpenters & remodelers

Multi-day projects

What hurts

Long jobs, big invoices, and a sales pipeline that lives in your head. Meanwhile the next estimate request is going to voicemail.

What JobOne does

Quotes from a price book you set once, project billing that follows the build, and an AI that captures the estimate request while you’re holding a nail gun.

HVAC, electrical, landscaping, pest control, and roofing fit the same shapes. If you answer your own phone and go to people’s houses, this probably fits — ask us.

Being straight with you

Who this isn’t for.

  • Restaurants, retail, or anything that isn’t a home service trade.
  • Companies with fifty trucks and a dispatcher. A fifteen-person crew works fine; an enterprise rollout is not what this is.
  • Anyone who wants to keep running Jobber or Housecall Pro alongside this. JobOne replaces them — there’s no two-way sync, on purpose.
  • Anyone who wants a drag-and-drop website builder to tinker with. We build and maintain the site for you.

Not sure if you’re the right fit?

Tell us your trade and how your phone is set up now. If we’re not right for you, we’ll say so on the first call.
