Text Messaging Program & Consent
Exactly how a customer agrees to receive texts from a business that uses JobOne, what those texts contain, and how to stop them. Written so anyone — including a carrier reviewer — can verify our opt-in in one place.
Effective August 1, 2026
1. What this program is
Frog Byte, LLC operates JobOne, a platform that home-service businesses (for example, cleaning, fencing, and repair companies) use to run their jobs. On behalf of those businesses, JobOne sends transactional text messages to their customers about that customer’s own service — appointment reminders, on-the-way notices, quotes, invoices, and requests for a review after a completed job.
There are no promotional or marketing texts in this program, and businesses are prohibited by our Terms of Service from uploading purchased lists or texting people who did not ask to hear from them.
2. How customers opt in
A customer agrees to receive texts in one of two ways, and only these two:
a. On a web form
When a customer fills out the “request a quote” or booking form on a business’s JobOne-built website, the form includes a clearly labeled, unchecked-by-default consent checkbox. It is never pre-selected. The customer must actively check it to give consent, and checking it records their express written consent — stored against their contact record with a timestamp — before any text is sent. Below is the exact control as it appears on every JobOne-built site:
Example of the live consent control — unchecked by default, consent is active and optional.
b. Verbally, during a phone call
When a customer calls the business (or its JobOne AI receptionist) to request service or book an appointment, they provide their mobile number and agree to receive text updates about that service. The call is recorded and logged, which serves as the record of consent. Consent is captured before any text is sent.
In both paths, consent covers only transactional messages about the customer’s own service. It is never bought, sold, or transferred, and it is specific to the one business the customer contacted.
3. The exact consent language
The disclosure a customer agrees to, verbatim, is:
“I agree to receive service-related text messages from [Business Name] about my request (appointment reminders, quotes, invoices, and updates). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
4. What we send
Representative messages, exactly as customers receive them:
- Reminder from [Business Name]: you have an on-site estimate on 08/12/2026 at 2:30 PM. Reply here if you need to reschedule. Reply STOP to opt out.
- [Business Name]: invoice INV-1042 is ready. View and pay securely here: https://app.getjobone.com/i/… Reply STOP to opt out.
- Hi, here’s your quote from [Business Name]: https://app.getjobone.com/q/… Reply STOP to opt out.
- Hi, this is [Business Name] — we’re on our way and will see you soon. Reply STOP to opt out.
- Thanks for choosing [Business Name]! We’d really appreciate a quick review: … Reply STOP to opt out.
5. Frequency and rates
Message frequency varies with the work being scheduled — typically a handful of messages around a single job. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
6. How to opt out or get help
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out immediately and permanently.
- Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].
- Reply START to opt back in after opting out.
7. Consent data is never shared
No mobile information — including phone numbers and their SMS consent or opt-out status — is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party for any purpose, other than the subprocessors that deliver the messages on our behalf. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
